Greetings, Howdy and Aloha . . . The Swami’s Surfing Association is extremely Stoked and I Mean happy to invite the Coalition of Surf Clubs to the 18th Swami’s Coalition Club Challenge at Cardiff Reef on Oct 20-21st of 2012.
It has been a few years since we have been able to have a Surf Event at the Cardiff Reef venue, but we are lucky enough to be the first to do so in four years. This years Event is Sponsored by Hansens Surfboards a local and proud tradition in the Encinitas area. Making quality surfboards for more than 50 years. Cardiff is known for it’s consistently Good Surf, Some of the best on the South coast of California. The event will be at 6:30am-6: 30pm Saturday, & Sunday 7:00 am –3:00pm with awards on the beach to follow. This year we will have the main break at the Reef and turtles or tippers to the north on the north side of the lagoon. This is going be one of the best Cardiff Reef Club Events ever. So in the immortal words of huggy Boy Hug gums “be there or be square”.
There are 6 campsites reserved in south Carlsbad Campground known as Ponto, or Ponto Escondido, for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Parking will be available at the Cardiff Reef for $16 per day. There will be 92 spots available they can be purchased with the your contest roster payment (no refunds for parking) Additional parking is available in the Seaside South Cardiff parking lot. There are 20 Coalition teams invited, teams will be seated in the event on a 1st come basis.
